 Does Seligor and Diddily believe in Education?
Today I was
asked a question. Did I think Education was as
important in the world today? By education it was
meant the old fashioned type, like reading books,
writing letters, mental arithmatic, etc. etc.... or
should we wholly embrace the modern era and go
completely mechanical and electrical. !!!
When I
was 11, I made myself a Crystal Radio, using
a few odds and ends I managed to pick up here and
there. Wow with all the car boot sales etc. that
are aound these days, I could quite possibly build
a full model city, with bits and bobs and of course
the old Meccano Set. (Can you still buy
Meccano, mine had a motor).
However times
have moved on and my pension gets paid directly
into my bank, no going out and meeting people for
me nowadays, all done with cards. Who needs
companionship anyway? (Everybody)
To get
back to my blog about education.
Early
this morning, I was brought my breakfast and
tablets to my bed which is down stairs, for I no
longer get up stairs very well after a motor bike
accident. Then two years ago I took up being a
Web Mistress, 8 years after trying to
understand how NOT to lose things on "my
spaces" which is still flourishing.
This
done, and at the age of 61yrs I began my first
website which was "seligorscastle". It is
many years since I left College and even longer
since I left Grammar and Nursery School, but these
times have never been forgotten, and so yes, your
education is very, very important, and should never
be disregarded. Without my education, be it over
40years ago I never cease to amaze myself at much I
remember, which in turn has given me a web site
that within the two years since its beginning has
had almost 3,000,000 HITS. Not
bad for an old great grandmother of six. Good Luck
