The Elves of Pontybodkyn "There are Elves down in my garden," said Jo to cousin Mike. "If you stay awhile, you'll meet them, if you put away your bike. For they like much peace and quiet, and music that is sweet. For they hide away quite quickly when they hear the sound of feet." Mike looked at Jo and chortled, and pushed his bike on down the path, then through the gate he wandered, he could not prevent a laugh. "Dear Jo, I will desert you, for your Elves I dread to see, in case they choose to cast a spell upon my bike and me. But I'll come again tomorrow when I'm sure their tucked in bed And anyway dear Jo, dear, I'm quite sure you're off your head."
