Another lovely recipe for spicy chicken legs, Bengali Style. They really aren't that hard to make.

Ginger10 gms
Tomato200 gms
Capsicum/Bell Pepper200 gms
Green Chillies4 pcs
Plain Yogurt100 gms
Fresh Corriander (If available)Few sprigs
SaltTo taste
Cooking Medium (Fat/Oil)30 mls

Preparation: 15 Minutes
  1. Wash the Chicken in boiling water, drain.
  2. Rub in Salt to taste, keep aside.
  3. Grind Capsicum, Ginger, Tomato & Chillies into a fine paste.
  4. Prepare the Marination
  • In a bowl, beat yogurt lightly, mix in the ground paste
  • Rub the chicken pieces evenly with the marinade.
  • RESERVE for 1 HOUR

  • Cooking : 30 Minutes

Heat Oil in a Flat Pan. Place the marinated chicken pieces. Cover the pan & cook over low heat, turn once after 10 minutes. When the chicken softens, increase heat and stir fry till the oil leaves the sides of the pan.

To Serve, remove cooked chicken to a bowl, garnish with fresh chopped coriander.
