Six wonderful recipes from the BENGALI HOME COOKING SITE, part of the Dadazi group Seligor is very fond of.
Orange
Crush
Ingredients
Fresh Orange Juice
(Strained)
8
cups
Sugar
600
gms
Water
1
cup
Citric
Acid
1 heaped dessert
spoon
Meta-bi-Sulphate
1/4 teaspoon
Orange
Flavour
2
teaspoon
Food Grade Colour
- Orange
Few
drops
Preparation
Warm up water,
add Sugar & boil till Sugar dissolves completely.
Continue stirring the syrup till luke warm.
Pour in the Juice & Citric Acid, stir
well.
Add Meta-bi-sulphate & mix in.
Add artificial flavour & colour.
Pour into capped bottles. Refrigerate to
store.
Note:
Instead of Artificial Flavour - You can take a a
small piece of the
rind (skin), clean, grind & strain fine - then
mix with the
preparation.
To Serve
Stir juice & water at 1:4 ratio. Pour in tall
glasses over crushed ice.
There are six recipes, baked macaroni with cheese.
Spiced chicken legs, and baked cauliflower. six
that can, with a little help be made to produce a
very nice meal.
