"WHO LOVES YOU
BABY!"
Here are a couple of poems I wrote for
my daughter, The first when she was about two
months;
DONNA
MICHELLE
Like an angel she sleeps in the
night,
All her worries and fears lost in
dreams.
Wrapped in the cradle of our love, she
grows steadily in her
mind.
Her little body once small and
weak, grows stronger
Though shes still as meek and mild,
until her tempers raised
Then this
little one can't be praised.
She screams and shouts and throws her
toys -
Causes havoc for her boys, who love
her deeply ,
And they take care of all the love and
wants she needs
Her eyes so brown can hold a
stare, that melts
the hearts of
young and old
Shes very proud, unique, and
bold
The name of Donna suits her well,
although I call her Little
Shell
And like those shells upon the shore-
we watch her grow.
But as a child she must play her
part -
And as her sweet and gentle heart
-
beats deeply
in her bosom
small
We know in the future well recall
Our daughter with all
our love upon her,
Well watch her grow, our little
Donna.

Mum and Dad This one, well, just a little later
;
DONNA MICHELLE
Donna Michelle at twenty six, gone
are all her childhood
tricks,
Growing up was not all pleasure,
yet shes stayed a perfect
treasure,
What!! you say, a perfect gem, she
passed all that at twenty
one.
Still has tantrums, pouts her lips,
makes sad eyes and shrugs
her hips
Moans when she cant get her way,
is this the Donna of today?
Along with beauty, poise and flair,
a girl, not woman, she is
rare
Her
shells are oysters filled with pearls
Her
smile is sunshine and clouds unfurled
Her
love is endless, her passion a song
Her
giving is plenty, her honour is strong
Donna Michelle at twenty six, my
daughter -
An angel one who
is missed
Growing in stature, love and grace,
how it shows upon her
face
Like those shells on the
beach that we picked so long ago
I
know that our love will get stronger and
grow
So
my beauty remember this as time goes by
Your mum, your friend will always
be by your side.
I love you, Onnie MUM, October 3rd 1998
